A plusieurs reprises, Bono a remercié les docteurs et infirmières qui ont pris soin de lui et l’ont opéré en mai dernier à Munich.

Pendant “Until the End of the World”, probablement en raison du son de la guitare de The Edge proche de celui des cloches, Bono cite un extrait de la belle “Anthem” de Leonard Cohen : “Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in” (NDLT : sonne la cloche qui peut encore sonner, oublie ton offrande parfaite, il y a une fissure en tout, c’est ainsi que pénètre la lumière).

’One’ inclut le coda ’Hear us coming’. Il commence à pleuvoir durant le rappel, ce qui conduira Bono à commenter le temps en chanson. A la fin de ’Moment of Surrender’, Bono portant le maillot du Bayern de Munich incitera même le public à l’accompagner sur une courte reprise de ’Singin’ in the Rain’.
